Having the ability to travel is such a blessing. My decision to go to New Orleans was sort of last minute. I made plans like I was going to go way before I knew if I actually would or not. I almost didn't finalize my plans, but wanderlust got the better of me as usual.
Besides I had been playing with the idea of adding video lookbooks to the Style Diary. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to do some test shoots and NOLa did not disappoint!

The buildings in New Orleans have very different feels. Some feel like you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from the plants in a forest. Some feel like they came right out of a futuristic movie. Others feel like you woke up in the past. The structures near this monument had amazing lighting and I loved the flowers!
| I paired my "Timid Tunic" and "Empress" skirts to make a bold statement with sharp angles and lots of negative space. As much as I love bright and vivid clothing I also love a challenge. So I challenged myself to do more with patterns than colors. |
In the end I was rewarded by the cool New Orleans breeze giving a whole new dimension to this almost paper-like fabric.
Sometimes when I get a little risky with an outfit it works out. Sometimes it turns into a disaster. But I believe that when you take risks, the risk itself is the reward. And if no one has told you lately, I believe in you!
