Packing for a trip, for me, means ripping through my closet like the worst kind of storm, staring my clothes in their beady little button-eyes and asking "Which of you is going to be lucky enough to come along?" How do you even make a decision like that?
For me the answer is simple. I bring clothes I know can handle multiple wears, don't get dirty easily, go with more than one outfit, and can be thrown into a foreign washing machine without me wondering if a new detergent will ruin the color.
It's especially important to take reliable ensembles on trips. You don't want to be away from home and realize you only have one pair of pants because the new pair you packed seemed to fit fine in the dressing room, but are a bit too snug in real life. So here's an outfit made from some of my favorite and most resilient pieces.

First I want to shootout these FashionNova skinny jeans. These pants have been with me for years and they've gone through everything from being work jeans, to being clubbing jeans, to being dressed up as semi-formal attire. They are an absolute travel staple for me. If I'm going, they're getting packed and that's that!
The scarf is long-lasting and lightweight. It's one of my favorite pieces from Culture Hijab. I bought some scarves from them in bulk a few years ago and every single one of them is still going strong!

This sweater? It's been to at least four countries. It's toasty without being sweltering during Summer and super comfy in Spring and Fall. It's another favorite from Fashion Nova.
The fabric I used to sew the long tank top (or is it a mini dress?) was once one of my favorite comforters. I can't stress this enough: I love knowing I can throw something into the washing machine without ruining it. And I was never gentle with this fabric when it was a comforter so I see no need to treat it delicately now.
The shoes are new, but I'm well acquainted with the brand. Liliana Footwear has been an absolute favorite of mine throughout the years. I never hesitate to pick up a pair if I see their logo.

I believe in working smarter not harder! And when you have limited suitcase space, it's definitely a smart idea to pack things you can use again and again in lots of environments.
And if no one has told you lately, I believe in you!
